Suraya has 16 years of experience in internal audit through her past employment with Commercial Bank, Development Financial Institutions (DFIs) i.e CIMB Bank, Agro Bank, SME Bank and currently attached to RAMZEE & CO.
Suraya graduated from University of Malaya (UM) with Bachelor of Business Administration (Hons). She is an Associate Member of The Institute of Internal Auditors Malaysia (IIAM) and currently pursuing Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) from The Institute of Internal Auditors (IIA). She is an Affiliate Member of Asian Institute of Chartered Bankers (AICB).
She obtained a Certificate Internal Auditing for Financial Institutions (CIAFIN) from The Institute of Bankers Malaysia (IBBM) and Certified Islamic Development Banker (CIDB) from IBFIM & Centre for Entrepreneur Development and Research Sdn Bhd (CEDAR).
She also holds Certified Halal Internal Auditing Programme (CHAP) and Certified Halal Executive Programme (CHEP) awarded by Halal Development Corporation Berhad (HDC) and Halal Professional Board, Jabatan Kemajuan Agama Islam Malaysia (JAKIM).
