Dr. Abdul Rahman is an Islamic finance consultant and a registered Shariah Adviser with Securities Commission Malaysia (SC).
He is a member of Shariah Committee of OCBC Al Amin Bank Berhad and My EG Islamic Finance Service Sdn Bhd. He is also appointed as Academic Fellow at Ahmad Ibrahim Kulliyyah of Laws, International Islamic University Malaysia (IIUM).
Previously, he was a member of Shariah Committee of KAF Investment Bank Berhad and KAF Equity Sdn. Bhd.
He has vast experience in providing shariah advisory and conducting shariah review programme with regard to Islamic Banking especially on corporate banking, corporate syndication, foreign exchange, structured product, sukuk, private equity and etc.
Previously he was attached to Asian Finance Bank, CIMB Islamic Bank Berhad and Al Rajhi Bank Berhad and involved in managing and lead the Shariah Advisory, Shariah Supervision and Shariah Compliance department.
He obtained Bachelor of Islamic Jurisprudence (Hons.) from Al-Azhar University, Egypt, Master of Shariah (Islamic Banking) from University Malaya (UM) and PhD. of Shariah (Islamic Banking) from University Malaya.
